there is not even a remote chance that that was a 1/4 mile.

Well, I saw another posting of this on Wired and they’re pretty scheptical. The cars actually only ran about 1/8 mile and witnesses suggest that the Challenger let up toward the end. Still, electric cars can be very fast, like the Tesla, at least when they’re fully charged. Unfortunately for the electric car the Challenger could run the same times right to the point the tank was empty, possibly even quicker as it got lighter, while the electric loses strength with every expenditure of it’s charge.

In a way, it does not surprise me that is it won. I mean, when I hear the word “challenger” from Dodge I just refer it to a “beast”.
