On Hondas equipped with Cruise, the area for the SIL is where the Cruise indicator is.

I can't say with certainty if the ECU would care if it saw the switch or not.

I can say that when I spent a week shifting without touching the clutch pedal that the check engine light never lit up.

So you could try it and most likely get away with it.
