Yep - the Kelly controller uses a 0 - 5 volt (not ohms) throttle control. A PB6 is zero ohms at stop (will pass 5v) and 5k or so at full throttle (probably less than 1/2 volt - depends on how much power the throttle circuit uses).
Turning the pot over to make it work was an excellent idea!
