How to tell an XFi from a garden variety Metro
I've had several people ask me by email how to ID an XFi motor. Is there any easy way to do specifically that? I'm not sure.
The vehicle differences I'm aware of are:
- different camshaft (lower lift & duration)
- number of piston rings (2 vs 3)
- possibly smaller throttle body throat diameter
- different ECU
- taller final drive
- no A/C
- no passenger mirror
- XFi badge on hatchback
