You don't HAVE TO remove the speed sensor, it's just easier to fill the tranny from there, if you already know how much your tranny takes.

If you don't know how much, you can just do it the other way, and fill it up until it starts coming back out of the hole.

I'm still not sure what that noise would be... does it only happen in 1st gear while accelerating? Is it sort of like the noise when you go faster than normal in reverse?

EDIT: Look at the throttle body... do you see a brass screw at the top, recessed into the housing of the TB? It's a slot screw, you can see it from the passenger side of the car as you're facing toward the driver's side, and it's on the "front" of the throttle body. If you can see it, you might need to replace it. Sometimes, people screw them in too far, and then they start to whine at certain throttle angles. The screw is like.. $2.00??, and might be the fix to your problem.

Basically, its' sealed from the factory. If you can see that it's a brass screw, rather than a gray epoxy plug, you might need to replace it.
