It's better than a box, but there's easy things they could have done, wheel skirts and corners along the trailing edge of the sides (rather than curved transition to the back) being the first two I could think of, small deflectors in front of the wheels would have been exceedingly easy too. But again, an improvement over "let's stick a rectangular prism back there".
