I did roughly 55 @ 70 on my way back.
I also learned I'll never need wipers in the rain anymore. I forgot to put them back on after the run and ran into a couple rainstorms near the border. Rainx did the job.
I too prefer the scenic more tortuous back roads. They are often more fun to drive, but are also less traveled which makes them perfect for hypermiling.
