My experience from custom tires for a Lotus Elan to a racing Alfa then the 300SD, is that brands mean little as each tire is hand laidup & the mold & layup is key. So a Goodyear XXXX might be great while a Goodyear YYYY is junk and the same goes for each factory of a brand name. I am not shy of the smaller brands. Cost is allways a factor. $ range is $120 / tire. BTW, I live in western Wisconsin, temps. down to -20 & often 1" per hour rains. While I do like performance as a safety feature, I normaly highway drive @ 45-50 MPG.
SOVboy: some day we'll have to compare SVO systems.
Actually, not SVO for me, it's an old carryover from my first forum signup ages and ages ago, as is the icon. I resist change!

Anyway, if you're looking for an all season tire, you might want to see if the hankook lrr tires or the new yokohama e-spec come in your size. For summer tires the ecopia tires should be good and in the winter there are nokians, which aren't as well known but evidently they make a mean LRR winter tire.
