If only we could have a 4$/ga diesel... It's currently at 6$/ga from the 9$/ga max last year and gasoline is 20-25% more expensive...
If there wasn't that CO2 bonus/malus when buying a new car and the CO2 tax next year then everybody would be driving fast cars.
The French CO2 tax will be only 17€/tonne, ie +0.045€/L (0.25$/ga) and +5%, so people will be sad during a few weeks then they'll pay it without thinking about it tank after tank, after tank... and will not change anything in their habits. The froggies gona be heated, and heated...
