Yeah, most Americans have forgotten about fuel prices. Like my friends who have an 06 Civic 4-cylinderand an 08 Mustang GT V8. Guess which one gets driven more? The Mustang.

Fortunately my fiancee bought a fuel-sipper recently. It gets combined gas mileage equivalent to what my car does highway when I hypermile it.

Some of the automakers get it, as they are bringing slightly more efficient cars to market instead of trucks. Unfortunately we have stupid diesel emissions laws, or we'd see some cars with mind-blowing (to Americans) fuel economy.
