I can't convince you otherwise, I'm sure, but can you conclusively say that overinflated tires are the reason you slid?
I don't want it to seem like I'm saying you're wrong for lowering your pressure (apparently, that's what people read into my posts
) but I'm just asking for the sake of knowing whether you checked for a repeatable result, or just assumed that was the reason.
