Yeah, by law, you can only go 25 in the ZENN, but put the same guts in a Festiva, and it's a legal car. Go figure!

I think the 2007 was the last year of the ZENN with the DC motor and the GE controller. It does have regen though.

The main thing with NEVs is that they are designed for really low amperage draw. If you take off the govenor, many NEVs will do 35 mph. (of course that will pull a few more amps as well!
