Really good feature piece describing how this 4000+ vehicle carrier nearly capsized, was abandoned by the crew & captain, and rescued by a US salvage operation.
It was full of brand new Mazdas destined for the North American market - Miatas, CX-7's, Madza 3's... all strapped down on the cargo decks, heeled over at a 60 degree angle.
Mazda
shredded them all after the ship was righted & offloaded. Even though there was no apparent physical damage to the majority of the cars, they couldn't guarantee them afterwards.
