EXCELLENT POINT!
I am actually going to install blocks of hard wood, that have been wrapped with black gorilla tape and have a metal strip just under the tape. I'm planning on 1x4 x6". then pre-drill holes in the metal/wood and a smaller hole in the mounting point.
