Honest.
I checked it twice and tried to squeeze some more in. But thats what it came to. I kind of wondered as my usual tankful was beeping 'fill me' at about 420 before I started ecodriving and this one was still going at 620 - thats an extra 200 miles.
This was not my 'suspense' plan, that is to come. Just tried a little harder to keep my on-board instant MPG above the average a little more and squeezed harder on the nut between the seat and wheel in other ways in terms of reading the road ahead, lights and traffic.
Also I've only smoked other cars once (that Honda deserved it
) and tried EO(n)C more than usual. I also gaffer (aka Duct) tape fixed my boost pipe issue and added a bottle of diesel cleaner as my usual garage suggested trying it to reduce the smoke, it has cetane enhancer in it too. The smoke is gone now.
So next target is 65 mpg.
As an old bloke I met in Ayr said to me the other week "every day is a schoolday".
