Nah, I've been pulled over before in a velo... the cops were pretty receptive (and these were campus police uptight as all hell officers - our school is big, they have jurisdiction in the city outside of our school too). I guess, as is for all things, YMMV... Be sure to have mirrors and turn signals if you can't use hand signals or look back easily
Why did I get pulled over? They thought it was motorized, which wasn't allowed on the streets I was using
They were pretty amazed it was all human
