But then with 50+ MPG, even on the "loaded" models, who needs one?

Heck, I'll admit it; driving a Prius is the most true-to life virtual
world that you can game in. Gotta be careful though, there's no RESET button.
With a ScanGauge you can consistently win extra energy points.
You can even hack it with a PHEV kit.

I for one can live with it.

Of course, YMMV.
