Can I calibrate my SuperMID without filling up my tank all the way or knowing the exact amount of fuel that is in the tank ?

I would think not.

My understanding is that I must first get an accurate estimate of my MPG so that I can input the baseline figures.
This would mean filling the tank all the way, driving for hundreds of miles and then dividing the miles traveled by the gallons used to fill the tank back to full.

right ?
