In some European countries there are even some vehicles which aren't available with a gasser engine not even as an option. It's also frequent for commercial vehicles in South America, altough the Diesels used back here can often be smaller than the ones available for an US-spec vehicle, i.e. the Brazilian-made Ford F250 SD which had the 4.2L V6 gasser available only until 2002 as the only gasser option, and was fitted with a 3.9L Cummins 4-cyl (ranging from 141hp in earlier versions to 203hp in the latest common-rail ones made from 2005 to 2011) and a 4.2L MWM-International straight-6 (available until 2005 when it was dropped in favor of the common-rail Cummins due to emissions regulations) instead of the Powerstroke, which was not available to the Brazilian market altough was made locally for export to Australia.
