my car has not been throwing any codes at all with any of the issues it has been having. i thought that looked clean for a cat converter. i used a rent a tool wratched to get the o2 sensor off so id have to rent it again to try cleaning it like that. I have a torch and air compressor too.

the o2 sensor has a l1h1 imprinted on it and a few other numbers on it as well cant remember. previous owner said it was replaced by the owner before him at some point. and thinks that from the pcv valves being plugged and something about blow by oil getting into the exhaust then the cat converter.

so basically at this point I may have to get a new cat converter AND O2 sensor?

i think i found a replacement new cat converter and the cheapest i can find so far is 250. not sure if replacing is something I could do or a shop would have to do
is this the right one? theres 2 different cats i keep finding
i think its manufacturer #40352

and the cheapest o2 sensor i can find is 189

if replacing the catalytic converter is something I could do that would be great. but I cant find any DIY on it anywhere. especially the vx one
