The best situation is to have all 4 tire match. Next best is front and rear in sets. Unmatched tires can affect braking and handling, even if the pressure indicated on the sidewall is the same. Tires from different manufactures even though the indicated size is the same (177/70/13 etc) may actually be different sizes. But if any difference will be notice will depend on the tire difference, the vehicle, and how it is driven.
