That is almost exactly what happened to my '95 Aspire about a year ago- same amount from Esurance. Hammered out the dent and this year the registration was no problem for a totaled car. Still runs great and even though I am tired of that egg design - the worn out junk I see make me decide to keep it. That $1750. went a long way for me on Craiglist- a 3-wheel scooter, three power wheelchairs, and an electric guitar.
Will not work twice on one car. I should have used some of that $1750 to buy another Aspire with clear registration and park it on a busy parking lot and wait for the cash to roll in!
