Ironically, the day i stopped to take a pic of the van, the owner(band member) and his wife were walking out of the church. They notice my car, and we started talking for 10-15mins, had a good chat and he gave me a few tips on the smoothies...

He mentioned, using a few 2"x2" cutouts of drywall sand paper, folding them and pinching them between the rim lip and the smoothy. While using a dab of 2part epoxy on one pinched area to keep it in place for good measure. Mentioned he found that particular set on ebay, and ran him about $100 including shipping for the entire set.

Otherwise he seemed generally interested, but Fe wasn't his focus and never measured if it had a difference, he just liked the way it looks.
