On the subject of side wind stability, I have been considering building a shorty muffler for the bike which would sit directly under the center of the engine. in line with the wheels. this would increase the side surface area down low while reducing weight, and not increasing FA. it would have two outlets pointed slightly to each side to avoid heating up the rear wheel. I am hoping to make it flat sided, to allow the attachment of thermoelectric generators to help reduce the electric load.
