Love the old American sixes. Something about the exhaust note of an old I6 ... sometimes I think that's why I keep my Cherokee around.
I know you already have a 258 to replace it with, but did you entertain the thought of a 4.0? You'd get more power, torque with a 4.0 HO. I know a few people who have gone with 4.0 engines and electronics out of a ZJ Grand Cherokee.
It'd still be an AMC Engine
