I've had to walk through sewage on occassion, and have ridden in delivery vehicles with pig slop. Dumps are nasty places, but not quite as nasty as that.

And for diapers, guilty, but we toilet-trained our baby as early as humanly possible. She's been napping diaperless since before she was two, with a minimum of "accidents".
I still use as many sheets as I think it'll take.
