Adventures with children!

Probably my best experience on reddit in a while, I saw this picture of a kid obsessed with an attorney who advertises on television. They asked him to stop by, but he declined. In the comments are dozens of awesome stories of what people did as kids, what their kids do, etc. This is my favorite:

Quote:
I was 3-4 when Saddam Hussein was all over the news in the early 90s. For whatever reason, and to the never ending enjoyment of my family to this day, I was just enamored with him. He'd be on the front page of the paper or on the evening news and I would get so excited and say things like 'oh, he's so handsome!' and tell my parents how much I loved him. They never thought to throw me a themed party based on my love and genuine interest for him, but I guess that would have looked weird...

Every boyfriend hears the story within 5 minutes of meeting my older brother.
Did any of you have any funny habits as children, have such stories about your kids, or anything else? All that I remember is my sister hugging fire hydrants.
