NO! Sadly, the Octavia/VW/Fiat 1.6 Diesel engine(s) w/start-stop feature have not yet made it to the USA BUT others have...
Volvo(w/start-stop) for one but their engines are gasoline, not Diesel :-(
Here in the US, we are downsizing but still in general the public STILL wants behemoths to cover their ass_s in case of a wreck(if all vehicles were smaller n more efficient, there be no need for larger more protective cars, etc...)
One day, some day MPG's should be required to be >40+ across the board
