Actually the core support is about an inch too high in that photo. I realized after the bumper was on that I had left the old rubber supports on the bottom that should have come off first. (D'oh!)
And yes, there will be both ducting and bracing between the Prius structure and the Firebird core support, plus the original baffling between the core support and the front bumper assembly.
