*For the 'flat' areas,I'll push foam board into those voids then glass,creating a semi-rigid stressed skin.Since these areas are in a region of increasing pressure they'll be held down.
*For the radius'd areas,the formers will help 'acurrise' the 1/8th-inch poster board's contour ( I'm going to use for skin) and save on body filler and weight.Since these panels will also be fiberglassed,they'll also resist deformation while strengthening and stiffening.The tail boom of my Beechcraft Bonanza is constructed just like this,with very thin aluminum.
*Air won't be able to get inside any of the tail,so it will only have favorable wind and pressure playing across it.
