If we ever need to haul anything, unless it's really huge, we can usually fit it in the back of my wife's little HRV with the back seats down. And that thing still gets around 30 mpg with mixed driving. Not bad for a little SUV. If I ever have anything huge to carry, which is extremely rare, I'll just give my buddy $10-$15 for gas and he'll do it.
