Agreed, but at some point manufacturers need to begin building from the ground up; from a blank slate. Then the basic engineering lessons learned can be applied to the next iterations without having to spend as much on R&D each iteration. The purpose being the elimination of suboptimal engineering compromises from shoehorning EV components into an ICE developed platform.
