I bought my laptop to write progress reports while in Oregon, but progress reports and session notes are all done on-line. While I was a contractor, those were four-page Word documents, with statistics for each goal. My current supervisor told me to just restate the last session notes, which are only a sentence or two.

I only use one significant program at a time. Each night, I shut down everything.

I stopped putting my desktop to sleep because it woke up every single time. I shut it down when I leave for the weekend, but I keep several programs running that I use throughout the day.

When Windows reboots my computer (another annoyance I have tried to fix), it always takes a while to find my place.

I forget why I do not use hibernate, but I think my computer still woke up.
