Sounds like engine-driven reverse...?
And right hand operated sequential gear change.
Build completed in '12 or '13.
My sleuthing shows this car to be Gen II; same guy had an earlier ('09 or older) much more basic car that I think donated the wheels and drivetrain to this one.
Gen I: foot shifter, rear drum brakes, and no doubt some really scary experiences with "bump steer"!!!
