Probably due to the hilariously narrow tires. No one to my knowledge makes a "good" super narrow tiny tire like that. So you're very limited on grip. I'd be curious to know the size of tires on the Fiat 500 and compare them. As well as vehicle weight. Probably explains the stopping distance.
