Personally, I prefer the
Primitive Technology guy. The videos are quiet and relaxing. The only concession to the audience is he wears pants.
The one where he
smelts iron out of red bacteria he scoops out of a creekbed is probably my favorite.
I remember FPSRussia. He demoed a full-automatic quadcopter before anyone else. For things that go bang, I like Ian McCellan at
Forgotten Weapons, esp. the Puckle Gun.
All that needs is the flintlock mechanism replaced by a Tesla coil and it's perfect for my Steampunk Zepplin. (Did you know steam has 60% the lift of helium, twice that of hot air*?)
