So I’ve received my couplers and fabricated my intake tube out of 3” stainless steel exhaust tubing(freebie)... my design mimics the GMPP short ram intake design, in that it uses the factory airbox... other L61 drivers have reported gaining 8-10whp from an intake and I remember about a 3” gain in FE on the Malibu and it’s intake wasn’t designed as well... for the total of $22 I have in doing a 3” intake and ported TB(same bore size but with smoother size transitions) I can’t complain...

EDIT: guess I should mention I’m not doing water vapor at the moment... I guessed wrong on the intake tube length and it’ll be uncomfortably short to drill for the vapor tubes; they’d be too close to the IAT sensor...
