I figured I'd post a more detailed analysis of my mod... Torque from 9-1200 RPM was reduced some, but from around 1400-2000 seems to have been improved slightly... As a result, I can't quite use 5th gear in town as much as before due to the one hill I can't climb anymore, but going from 40-60mph in 5th seems smoother... 80% loads comes up at a lower throttle percentage, so in warm-ish weather I can now accelerate (pulse) at around 20mpg instant versus around 18.9-19.4...

Acceleration seems to have been improved a little from 4000 RPM and up, but since I don't use this rev range much it doesn't matter much... Throttle response seems a little crisper, but these mods didn't drastically transform my car or anything, it still drives much the same as before...
