I'll have to read this when I get time.

I think what I had in mind was in this thread somewhere. It showed the enormous amount of energy and resources needed to build various renewable energy. The website had all the data in a single scrollable page. It also showed nuclear to be the wisest choice to meet growing demand, but showed how long it takes to complete such projects. Can't remember the name of the site now.
