Please just unplug it from your laptop, wait 20 seconds and plug it into the car. Bouncing the power a lot CAN screw up the chips flash/eprom memory, so be real deliberate when hooking up the power, and wait at least 20 seconds for it to come to life before disconnecting it, unless there is smoke of course
