Update from the Avion website: they took the car out on Saturday to see if they could beat their previous best of 103 mpg... and surprise, are claiming 113 mpg / 2.1 L/100 km on a trip on I-5 from the Canadian border through WA to the Oregon border.

average speed of 48 mph / 77 km/h which is pretty impressive in my books.
