If you know approximately what dimensions you need for your piece(s), you could draw them out on the sheet and cut them out (slightly overlarge) with a box cutter or heavy duty scissors, so you would have smaller pieces to load in your car. This is something you could do out in the parking lot beside your car if you had to.
