It's a nice 45 mile ride through the back country. My scooter was struggling into the wind like my old Chevy did when I was a youngun. And, That old car had.... 3.08 gears in the rear end.... Hmmmm! I got to the Dealer and handed him my lubes, (I'd decided to switch to Amsoil full synthetic 10w40 4T oil and ""Severe service"" 75w110 gear lube.) They had a set of Bridgestone tires that would fit my C3, a 120/90-10 for the front, and a 130/90-10 (a size smaller than the tire I'd had on it.) for the rear. On the way home there's pulling power! and it's smooootthhh! What I'd done, was gear my scoot up out of it's power band. It worked ok until the windy season began.... The Synthetic lubes are worth the money they cost..... as my fuel mileage shows. I'll keep experimenting, My thought process has been,""Gee, I wonder what'll happen if I do this?"" lol! Later, Gabe"

This is the first tank of regular 87 oct gas I've used in a while to see how well it will work. My ECU was a bit unhappy for the first 100 miles until it adjusted to the added airflow... It went to as far rich as it could when I first started my engine after installing the new exhaust. It's marketed by <jiangwayne.com> and with the way it looks, sounds, and the power it's added across the rpm range, It's made my scooter a real hoot to ride!"

The Dr.Pulley variator just Turned 1500 miles today and it's shifting so smoothly that were it not for the tuned exhaust system I wouldn't be able to tell it was working.... I'll have to try another tank of BP gasoline! I'm in the early stages of planning a 1200 mile trip next spring (from S.E. Now the fuel is clean and fresh and I can tell the difference with my wee fuel injected scooter!"

Based on this first tank of Texaco 89 oct midgrade and the lower fuel economy (110.96 mpg) it appears that their regular gasoline works best for my scooter. I didn't notice any difference in performance one way or the other,It just cost ten cents more to fill my tank.I'll put another 500 miles of 89 oct through my scooter and we'll find out. Gabe"

At 3000 miles I replaced the Dr.Pulley 3.5gr sliding weights in the transmission with a new set of their 4.0gr sliding weights. I expect that the lower mpg is the result of the new weights not being ""Broken in"" yet.... I expect 115mpg ( and even more!) to return with some miles...."

Too far to comfortably go to get Texaco... This stuff's pretty good! It's Marathon Gas.114.97 mpg.... like I told you.The higher gearing and a hundred miles did the job. It should be even better next time. I've now got a relaxed cruise that naintains 43-46mph in the gently rolling hills out in the country around here.Pretty good for a tiny piston pulling my 240 lbs around! lol! I'll be strapping on the tent, sleeping bag, and saddlebags before too long (when it cools off!) and see how she does rigged out."
