The cold for one gives what i call terrible compression in the engine reducing my rolling resistance, lower horsepower, and thus even great throttle to get moving. IMA battery force regening in the cold on startup, high idle, etc. Kind of gave up trying hard in this cold. Today was around 60 degrees farhenheit. Felt like it was happy in a long time."

I couldn't recover after that. FCD display says 70mpg over 1,075 miles since i last reset it, which really good since i've never even managed to average 70mpg for more than a day or two previously. Driving with load in an Automatic non-LB Insight. Stock. Grill block removed 3/4 of the way through, rear wiper delete, passenger wiper mostly deleted. Edit: managed to eek out .03 more mpg average over 750 miles from the factory gauge over 40 more miles of commute."

2014-08-02	1240	20		62	"Quit my long commute job that had a 70mpg round trip. Now doing really short trips, but using less gas and driving dramatically fewer miles. Idle problems. I have to idle for a good 2-3minutes till my car warms up. It idles at 1600rpm cold and only drops when warm."
