Installed upper grill block. It's very ghetto; just a piece of cardboard cable tied to the inside of the grill. It seems to be helping. The engine is now running at 80 degrees C instead of its usual 60 degrees in winter. This is a good sign. |

This tank was cheap premium gas with high ethanol content. I was hoping premium fuel would return better mileage, but I think the lower specific heat of ethanol killed my MPG more than the higher octane helped MPG.
When I refueled, I went back to regular fuel. Within 10 miles of refueling with regular fuel, my trip computer went from claiming 30.5mpg to 32.5. |
