2009-05-28 233.8 mi. 5.29 US gal $2.79 44.2 US 217,811.8 miles trip from Milwaukee to Eagle River Wisconsin in the northwoods, mostly against the wind all the way, 20mph headwind. Note before the trip found both front brake caliper slide pins hung up and dragging the pads on the rotors, I replaced one bad leaky caliper and freed up the other one. Big diffrence in throttle response and glides freely when coming to a stop.

2009-05-11 305.2 mi. 7.43 US gal $2.17 41.08 US This is from 216,686.9-216,992.1 miles; This is the first tank used with some needed repairs that would effect miliage. New exhaust from the exhaust manifold to the tailpipe, there were a lot of leaks, and new catalytic converter, new oxygen sensors (both) new plugs and wires. Commpression test reveialed sticky rings in cyl #4 (150lbs., 150lbs., 150lbs., 120lbs) Significant diffrence in the way the motor runs and responds. Normal water temp went up from 188 degrees to 191 degrees . It will now do 62 mph on 10 inches of vacuum. Next will run Seafoam in it to see if that helps the rings in #4. Changed oil, filter and fuel filter, Seafomed it through the vacuum line, and added a half a can of seafoam to the gas.

Now using the engine heater before driving with no warmup idling.
2009-01-02 70.2 mi. 1.72 US gal $1.849 40.81 US Had to re-setup my Scan Gauge so I had to refill the tank, hence the 70 miles driven
2009-01-02 252.4 mi. 7.2 US gal $1.629 35.06 US Grocery store had a promotion, you buy so much in food and you got so many cents off on gasoline so this is why the price per gallon is $1.62. I had 22 cent per gallon credit so the original price per gallon was $1.84. The Mods on the car now are no back seat, as I saw the other Aspires were taking theirs out and yes it weighs 85 lbs. Installed Katz tank style circulating engine heater. In 3 degree above zero Farenhieght temps, it is blowing out warm air out of the defroster, and goes right into closed loop on startup, not fully warm but I can see the miliage results already
2008-12-26 172.2 mi. 5.432 US gal $1.779 31.7 US same old winter driving with warm ups
2008-12-10 71.9 mi. 2.236 US gal $1.659 32.16 US quick trip for work, warmed it up a lot while digging it out of the snow
2008-12-06 191.3 mi. 5.71 US gal $1.699 33.5 US Lot of warmups, it's 19.3 degrees outside and 30 mile an hour winds.
2008-11-28 260.7 mi. 6.757 US gal $1.799 38.58 US A lot of warming up in this tank, it's snowing and blowing, still better miliage than I expected. Scan Gauge is hooked up
2008-11-22 120 mi. 3.13 US gal $1.859 38.34 US Trip from Nashotah to Madison, somewhat flat with some hills, 30 degrees out but still a direct constant 20mph crosswind. The trip is straight west and back. Bumping the tires up a noticable change. Cant get anywhere over 9hg on the vacuum gauge in this kind of crosswind. Time for areo mods.
2008-11-21 139 mi. 3.952 US gal $1.939 35.17 US This tank was a lot of high winds and driving against the wind. It was very cold this mornig as well, 14 degrees F when I got up and it's 4:30pm now and it's 22 degrees and that was pretty much that cold all day. A lot of driving against the wind on the freeway. I installed a vacuum arester so I could finally read the gauge and it was very hard to keep it near 10in, more like 6-8inches was all I could do. I bumped th tires up to 35psi in front and 31psi in the back. I changed the oil to 5W-30 and installed a K&N filter. We will see what that does
2008-11-19 198 mi. 6.38 US gal $1.969 31.03 US This was the first tankfull, some of it driving on worn out front wheel bearings, some on new bearings and a full new set of 155/80-13 tires. after the repairs and the tires, it feels a lot more lively, we will watch the next tankfull.
