This is from 216,686.9-216,992.1 miles; This is the first tank used with some needed repairs that would effect miliage. New exhaust from the exhaust manifold to the tailpipe, there were a lot of leaks, and new catalytic converter, new oxygen sensors (both) new plugs and wires. Commpression test reveialed sticky rings in cyl #4 (150lbs., 150lbs., 150lbs., 120lbs) Significant diffrence in the way the motor runs and responds. Normal water temp went up from 188 degrees to 191 degrees . It will now do 62 mph on 10 inches of vacuum. Next will run Seafoam in it to see if that helps the rings in #4. Changed oil, filter and fuel filter, Seafomed it through the vacuum line, and added a half a can of seafoam to the gas.

Grocery store had a promotion, you buy so much in food and you got so many cents off on gasoline so this is why the price per gallon is $1.62. I had 22 cent per gallon credit so the original price per gallon was $1.84. The Mods on the car now are no back seat, as I saw the other Aspires were taking theirs out and yes it weighs 85 lbs. Installed Katz tank style circulating engine heater. In 3 degree above zero Farenhieght temps, it is blowing out warm air out of the defroster, and goes right into closed loop on startup, not fully warm but I can see the miliage results already

This tank was a lot of high winds and driving against the wind. It was very cold this mornig as well, 14 degrees F when I got up and it's 4:30pm now and it's 22 degrees and that was pretty much that cold all day. A lot of driving against the wind on the freeway. I installed a vacuum arester so I could finally read the gauge and it was very hard to keep it near 10in, more like 6-8inches was all I could do. I bumped th tires up to 35psi in front and 31psi in the back. I changed the oil to 5W-30 and installed a K&N filter. We will see what that does

This was the first tankfull, some of it driving on worn out front wheel bearings, some on new bearings and a full new set of 155/80-13 tires. after the repairs and the tires, it feels a lot more lively, we will watch the next tankfull.
