Fill date Distance Fill amount Price MPG Details
2009-11-10 717.5 mi. 15.56 US gal $2.89 46.11 US I'm pretty sure I got more fuel in this time vs. last at the pump. Stupid foam. This whole tank was back on the STOCK downpipe.
2009-10-21 832 mi. 16.93 US gal 49.14 US Wow. Shameful driving, lots of WOT to 100+. Actual fill could vary +/- 0.5gal as I used up some leftover bio jugs.
2009-09-29 444.3 mi. 9.61 US gal 46.23 US More terrible driving, unsure on exact fuel fill quantity
2009-09-18 642 mi. 13.59 US gal 47.24 US Terrible driving style; fast accel, 80 mph hwy.
2009-08-30 719.4 mi. 15.25 US gal 47.17 US Back to hand measured. Not sure if I feel comfortable applying a correction factor just yet...
2009-08-17 590 mi. 11.21 US gal $2.65 52.63 US After trip to TC and back (65-80 mph cruising).
Re-filled with Randy's B99 in Fowlerville
2009-08-13 517 mi. 10.4 US gal 49.71 US Same driving as last tank - but filled at pump instead of hand measured!
2009-08-03 490 mi. 10.45 US gal 46.89 US Mostly highway at 75-85 mph, plus some hard city driving in Grand Haven. Rear diffuser now in place.
2009-07-30 396.2 mi. 8.65 US gal 45.8 US Some careful driving, some not at all. Top off before weekend trip.
2009-07-20 675 mi. 14.7 US gal 45.92 US Fairly careful driving, but only realized that my rear belly pan was parachuting fairly badly at the very end of the tank. Though the stock bumper lip may not be much better....
2009-07-06 830.5 mi. 18.4 US gal $2.69 45.14 US Oy! What a struggle to get this tank done and measured. Switched from B20 to a B99 derived from recycled oils. I'm sure the BTU content/gal is much lower than the B20 I was using previously. Also had some high speed testing of the new 5th gear ratio, which didn't make the huge impact that my scan gauge said it did.
2009-05-18 778.5 mi. 16.1 US gal $2.19 48.35 US Had to add 2 gallons of old stored D2 to get to work and use up the old fuel, so actual fuel fill could vary +/- 0.5 gals....
2009-04-27 683 mi. 14.45 US gal $2.19 47.27 US First half of tank was with new wheels/tires. Probably should have filled up then before changing intake system, and MAF sensor. After the intake install, troubleshooting and acceleration testing probably wiped out any potential gains.
2009-04-11 392.9 mi. 8.45 US gal $2.19 46.5 US Half tank to finish out the snow tires for the season. Michelin MXM4 Energy S8's got put on so I had to top off.
2009-03-29 643.7 mi. 13.42 US gal $2.19 47.97 US First tank with 206 deg. thermostat and zerostart coolant heater. Used the heater most mornings for just a couple hours.
Couple of coolant leaks after the t-stat change, but overall a smooth tank.
2009-03-06 661.5 mi. 14.3 US gal $2.29 46.26 US Most of tank was run with 3 bad glow plugs (= rough starts, slower warm-up)
2009-02-18 863.5 mi. 17.73 US gal $2.39 48.7 US Includes trip to Chicago and back, with 4.45 gals added in IN on return trip.
2009-02-06 639.6 mi. 14.17 US gal $2.49 45.14 US
2009-01-23 696 mi. 15.65 US gal $2.59 44.47 US I think this tank included about 15 days with sub-zero temps. WTF!
2008-11-06 650 mi. 13.83 US gal $3.39 47 US Diesel is such a rip-off compared to gas! GRRRR
