Crazy, got invited to a skynyrd concert up past detroit for free. Had to fly down to bowling green to do some stuff and then fly to hudson, mi to pick up people and then drove to the wrong place in detroit, and then scramble to make it to the right place 40 miles away. 80+ mph on the interstates with a 3 speed auto. |

Better this time. Probably due to the fact that of lots of highway driving. Been doing lots of coasting too. The car loses speed fairly quickly when coasting in neutral though.
Going to pick a pair of new front struts up for it soon though, hopefully we can get the front end straight and pick up some mpg. The previous owner left us with a nicely bent strut on the passenger side.
Note: We filled it up with the needle directly on the half mark. The car is supposed to have a 14 gallon tank, so 6.4 sounds about right giving a couple gallons for reserve after empty. |

I did this to start a fuel log for the Shadow. Gassed the car up in Fayette and headed to Wauseon so my gf could practice maneuverability for her driving test. She did this for quite a while and I'm sure that killed the gas mileage despite trying out some hypermiling techniques. Stopped by Walmart on the way back. Then topped off the gas tank back in Fayette. These readings may not be accurate since it only took 1.8 gallons. It may have taken more gas the second fillup than the first since there may be air in the tank on the first fillup. Oh well, the car is full for sure now, and fillups should be accurate from now on. |
