Fill date Distance Fill amount Price MPG Details
2009-04-09 325.6 mi. 8.398 US gal $1.839 38.77 US Began engine off coasting this tank, mostly 50 mph speed limit open road driving. I live in a very hilly area, so where ever possible I coast it down hills even if its engine on coasting just to lower the engine rpms. I honestly expected better mpg than I got this tank, though I do go up mountains on a regular basis so that could have a big impact on the mpg. Shell pump 4 as usual. 50-60 degrees out low humidity.
2009-04-03 321.2 mi. 9.001 US gal $1.839 35.68 US Rain rain, more rain. Nearly had my first accident because someone cut me off in the rain.. wasted some gas catching them to get the plate number. Accelerating faster than usual, mostly to appease the drivers behind me who were riding my bumper. Temp in the 50's. Shell gas, pump 4.
2009-03-30 128.5 mi. 2.869 US gal $1.799 44.79 US Accelerating from a stop at about 60% throttle until cruising speed every time. Temps in the 40's and 2 days of rain. Some on ramp lead-footing, and extended idling this tank also. Had adult passenger for about 50 miles. BP gas this time to top off.
2009-03-28 55.2 mi. 1.28 US gal $1.879 43.13 US (approx) 1 gallon fill test. Drive 55.2 miles up hills, downhill coasting, wet roads, using 70% throttle to accelerate more rapidly. Outside temps in the 40-50's with high humidity. Shell pump #4.
2009-03-26 321.2 mi. 8.666 US gal $1.879 37.06 US Changed air filter, shed 50 lbs, warm air intake, mixed weather & more stop / go traffic than usual. Same shell, pump #4
2009-03-23 300 mi. 8.296 US gal $1.819 36.16 US First tank of gas since purchase of vehicle. Engine tapping until warm, air filter needs to be replaced, full weight vehicle. Shell 87 Octane, pump #4, avg. outside temp in the 40's during driving hours.
