Fill date Distance Fill amount Price MPG Details
2009-11-11 408 mi. 8.6 US gal $2.41 47.44 US same as usually 1300 people and weight. Tires are a bit underinflated but I am too lazy to do anything about it in the rain and its been nothing but rain the last few days. Hopefully tomorrow I will inflate them better. I also got some BAD gas this time. I took a chance and went with the 11% ethanol at the in town place (4cents cheaper) already at a quarter tank I am seeing a visible decrease in fuel economy so I am going to go back to buying wawa gas only (6-8% ethanol)
2009-11-07 346 mi. 7.5 US gal $2.43 46.13 US Still carrying 1300 pounds daily in the car with 4 people and my gear and tools.
2009-11-03 398 mi. 8.6 US gal $2.42 46.28 US Still got a slightly rough idle and a sticky brake caliper I think (I can still hear it) also got a bad front right wheel bearing getting pretty bad going to try and change it myself this week.

100% of these miles were with about 1300 pounds of people (4) and tools in the car. (the car is only 1600 pounds)
2009-10-29 399 mi. 8.8 US gal $2.41 45.34 US With the fixed EGR the idle is much nicer (but still rough still tracking down the problem)

Every mile of this tank was with 1300 pounds of people and gear in the car wet weight 2900 pounds curb weight of vehicle 1600 pound (still amazed it handles this kind of weight!)

I am still learning how to drive this. I love the shift light as I tend to shift later (used to drive a stick van) it wants me to shift MUCH sooner than I am used to but I see this really keeps the RPM's down!

This week I am changing both lower control arms so I might lose some mpg until I get it realigned.

I also think I have a dragging brake pad or bad caliper or something as I can hear the tell tale snick snick snick of a dragging brake pad.

I also did a full tune up early this tank. new plugs wires pcv dist cap rotor and air filter. the old plugs and wires were in good shape but there was some visible corrosion and pitting in the dist cap and rotor.

My rims are bad (failed inspection) I got new ones all cleaned up nicely painted. Hopefully get those on tomorrow.
